A visit we will forever cherish......

A couple days ago, we took the baby up to my grandparents house (they live up the driveway from us). Adam's great grandpa. With each baby we have had, I truly treasure the photos of grandma and grandpa with the baby. And I think this year, with my grandpa's decline in health, these pictures are all the more precious. My grandpa doesn't talk a whole lot anymore, and is on oxygen when he will leave it on. His health has declined over the last couple years, but this is a man who has lived one amazing life. My grandpa, as far as I can remember has set a Godly example for us all to see. When his time here is done, I truly believe the Lord will tell him "well done". We love my grandpa and are so very thankful for all the examples he has set and for the time we have been able to cherish with him. according to the doctors, he only has less than 3 months to live...but only God can determine that. But what I do know.....is that every visit is a treasured moment. When we took the baby up there, grandpa was sleeping, but he awoke and was very eager to see the baby....watching him and reaching out his hands. When I sat down and shared the baby with him, grandpa was all smiles. When Adam opened his eyes, grandpa piped up and said "well, hi there baby". We were all amazed. Grandpa then played with Adam's feet and smiled and cooed with him a bit. A special time...as grandpa usually doesn't interact and talk much. We are so very thankful that he was alert an was able to interact with the baby. A visit that we will not soon forget. Here are some pictures from our visit.

How precious for you all; and how blessed you are to have a godly grandpa, and living so close.
The pictures are beautiful. Hope to see you soon.
