Overall, it was very easy. Because I kept them seams, it was a little more work lining everything up perfectly and sewing through the thickness caused by the old and new seams. But it worked out just fine and I really like the completed project. I tried it on..and it come right almost to the ground. It looks really good though for a first time try at something. I was pleased.

From jeans to a skirt...I finally did it....
I have had these jeans for quite a while now and day before yesterday I decided to give a shot to turning them into a skirt. I got the jeans on clearance for $2.97 a pair. They were regularly $36.99 each, and it takes two pairs to make a full length skirt. I am fairly handy with the sewing machine, but this is just something I have never tried. Finally, i decided to give it a go. I was not too thrilled with the hearts on this pair of jeans, but when the skirt was done, it actually looked very cute. And the jeans were already flared at the bottom, so when it was all sewn together as a skirt, the bottom flared out nicely. I decided to use a seam ripper and keep this skirt finished looking. And as you can see, I had a little helper as well. While I was working on sewing, Nathan decided to hop up to the table and use the seam ripper...he must have been watching me earlier. It was too cute, so I had to shap a few shots.

Adam at 4 months old....
Last week, our not so little Adam had his 4 month check up. He weighed 17lbs12oz and was almost 27 inches long. That puts him in the 90-95% for both height and weight. I don't remember what his HC was, but it was lower percentage than his height and weight. We praise the Lord for such a chunky little man. He still has airway issues but his doc says she is hoping it matures by 6 months of age. We will just have to wait and see. He truly is a joy. He is such a sweet baby and has such a great temperament. He does not like to sleep through the night but that is okay. He smiles and laughs so much. And he likes to roll quite a bit now. He conquered going from tummy to back a while ago. And just a few days ago, he has conquered going from back to tummy. He is even able to sit up on his own for a few seconds at a time. He loves his new saucer and it is so funny to watch him in it. He gets these very intense looks as he is going from toy to toy on it, and then all of a sudden we will see a great big smile. Enjoy the pictures we took when he was trying his saucer out for the first time........
