Look at what we found today....

Today we spent a greater portion of the day outside. It has been beautiful. The kids have enjoyed learning to ride their bikes, and we brought out all the spring toys. Josh was mowing the grass, and called me over to where the big playset is at. Look at what we found right under the bigger slide.....right on the ground. Needless to say, the kids are banned from this play toy for now as we watch in awe of this sweet mamma bird who decided to make her nest right on the ground. We are hoping nothing gets to it, since it is right on the ground. What a cool experience it would be for the kids to watch the progress of these eggs. She seems content as she sit on her eggs. I looked up ground nesting birds in washington and I came up with the spotted towhee. I am pretty sure that is what these birds are. The eggs look indentical to the ones I find online. Pretty neat......
