Our local fire department had a bike rodeo last weekend in the parking lot of our local Fred Meyer. They had fire trucks, police boats, booths and such set up as well. When the kids first got there, they had them sign in. They then went to a station where they were fitted for a helmet that they got to keep. After getting their helmets they chose a bike for their size (the pink one is the only one that our boys fit) to use and rode through a bike course they had set up. After riding through the bike course, they were given a certificate. The kids then got to look at all the fire trucks and neat things that were there. It was a hooot day too....it was the day that was in the 90's. I thought it was great for the kids...they had a good time. It was a good day....neat thing for the fire department to for with the kids.

Wow, how awesome! I wish I had heard about this... that sounds like a blast! I need to check out our local paper more so that I can be ready for events like this. Awesome photos!! I love that they got to keep the helmet!
