Last week while my husband was in town (he was only here for a few days), we decided to go over and visit his Uncle Lorin. I am sure most of you have read from the other blogs, but he has brain cancer...and there is no further treatment available for him. It is basically comfort measures for him. He has been very confused lately....but the evening we were there, he did amazingly well. It was a very sweet visit. We only took the baby....as it can be very hard for Lorin with a lot of noise..and with 4 boys....you get the picture. Nathan was fascinated with Lorin though....and Lorin even asked to hold him. Nathan smiled the whole time he was in Lorin's arms. We got quite a few smiles out of Lorin as well, and we even laughed several times. It was very nice to see him in such a good frame of mind for the state he is in. Please pray for him and his wife. Everytime I think of the visit we had with them I think of this verse:
Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

I'm so glad that you got to go over and spend some time with him, I think that's so important. How precious that he had a great time with the baby! It was wonderful to hear how he reacted to him and the things he said. So great of you guys to take time out from your busy schedules for family.
