It is very easy and the kids love it. Why I never thought of this before...I don't know. I actually saw this somewhere yesterday. All you do is cut a hole in the center of a piece of bread and toss it in a frying pan ( I put nothing on the bread because it will brown on its own). Crack a single egg and place it in the hole of the bread to fry the egg. After a minute or two, flip it and cook it the rest of the way. Toss it on a plate and pour a little maple syrup over the top.....and it is done!! My kids loved it this morning...and what a fun thing for them to help make. I even had one and it was yummy!!!

Yummmm Kristi, you can also use a cookie cutter to cut a shape instead...just an idea...it is always wonderful to find something the kids love...So what time is breakfast tomorrow?

Hmmm.. I had never heard of this! How interesting....wonder if my kids would like it. We love fried eggs..thanks for the idea!
My mom use to make this for her little brother growing up....he called it a "dilly thing" because he didn't know what it was, just that he wanted it. I remember her talking bout it, but I have never personally made it. I am going to Ladies Retreat by the way and am so excited to get to know everyone better. I hope to hold that little baby one day soon. I have heard much about you..all good not to worry. I look foreward to meeting you in person. :) -April.
We call them Egg in a hole and they are so nummy good if you put butter on the bread. Although without it it would be much better for you!
