I have posted about my sweet grandparents before....but I just feel the need to post yet again. Today was my grandpa's 97th birthday. A year ago many people were probably doubting if he would even live to see his next birthday. The last couple years he a greatly changed....but at 97....he is amazing to at least me still. Physically he is doing pretty well....but his mental state is slipping....it has a lot these past couple years. My grandpa has always been such a kind loving man...he would give you the shirt off his back if you ever needed it. He has always been so full of stories....and would welcome anyone who came to their house with open arms. Never in my lifetime have I ever heard him raise his voice at my grandma.I don't believe I have ever heard him speak a harsh word to anyone. He is a hard working man....who has been very talented at everything he has done. Up until the last three years or so.....you would still find him on top of their roof ( a very high two story home)......sweeping and such. Not bad considering he was doing all this at 93 years old. He is an amazing man in so many ways....but what I will forever remember...is his LOVE FOR THE LORD. Grandpa was never shy about his love for God...and he would always be willing to share his wonderful testimony. I don't believe anyone who has come across his path could doubt this love for God and others.
