None of our boys have given their hearts to the Lord yet. And at times you wonder as a mom if you are doing enough.....at least I know I do. There are many times I feel I may not be doing my best to teach our children. But I am so thankful in the way that the Lord show me as a mom that my kids ARE listening and pondering things I try and teach them. We have been studying missionaries..and that has opened a whole bunch of doors for bible studies, discussion, and prayer time, and more. I love listening to the boys praying..they are so in depth sometimes...it just blesses my heart. But what I have truly enjoyed the most lately....is hearing the older boys talking in the room...when they don't know I can hear...discussing things we have talked about that day and what they should or shouldn't do, etc. I often hear them asking each other questions or simply having a prayer time of their own. it is not unusual in a day for one of the boys to walk up to me and just ask if we can pray together. This shows me that they are learning and their hearts are so desiring to learn. So I will continue to seek guidance and continue to pray for our boys...and let God do the rest.
I do have to share a cute little story also. Every time I change the two little ones diapers and stand them back up, I always say "stand up for Jesus". I have done that for a loooong time and probably always will. Well, Nathan cant say much other than a few words here and there. But Isaac....he does the same thing I do now in saying that. If I skip it...he will always pipe in and say stand up for Jesus. Often I Will continue with more lines from the song. Earlier today...I stood him up after changing him and started my normal Stand up for Jesus phrase...and Issac pipes up and say "Da soldiers of the da cross". So..he is getting and learning something too...even if it may seem small..it us huge to this momma. And all praise goes to God!! I cant be the one to convict my children's heart...but I can be the mom that prays for her children daily and continues to train them as God would lead me.
I am so thankful for our children. And I am so thankful for the way the Lord reassures me to continue on with our children. Thank you God!!

I used to always sing that song when i would get my babies up from a diaper change also! I thought I was the only one too! LOL
LOL you guys arnt the only ones, bc i know when i was still living at home, when my mom was done changing the little kids diapers, she would sing it too!!! How funny!!!
it always blesses me when i am riding in my parents car, bc my sisters are ALWAYS singing in the back, they sing just like how brother dan does leading songs in choir! it is so cute, they dont care who is listening or how loud it is, they just sing away in the back of the van!!
In no way did I think I was the only one who sang that song to my kiddos after changing diapers. I was simply sharing what we do...and what isaacs response was....thats all.
Amen sister! Our work is so rewarding as mommas especially when we see fruit of our labor. I sing that song to my kiddos in the bathtub when I make them stand up so they can get washed up. Sometimes I'm having a bad day and don't sing it. They never let me get away with that. If it's time to get washed up, it's time to sing the song. Thanks for sharing this. It was a blessing!
I also say/sing it when changing diapers or getting them dressed! It just seems "natural" to sing it when I am already saying stand up. Your children are young yet so keep faithfully teaching them the full counsel of God's Word. It will have a lasting effect on them. God definately do His part!
